Kellie Spilman, MPH, CHES, IMH-E: Porter-Leath Early Childhood Center

Kellie Spilman is the Director of the Early Success Coalition at Porter-Leath, a collective impact initiative that promotes shared, evidence-based practices proven to improve early childhood development and school readiness within Memphis and Shelby County, Tennessee. She oversees the incorporation of evidence-based health promotion strategies to maximize impact in program design and works to build capacity of early childhood programs and professionals. Ms. Spilman has worked in health communications, public health practice, and maternal and child health for over a decade and holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health and is a Certified Health Education Specialist and an Infant Mental Health-Endorsed® professional through the Association of Infant Mental Health in Tennessee. Ms. Spilman believes every child deserves the chance to thrive in a safe and nurturing environment and is committed to advocating for a community that places children and families at the heart of policy and practice.
