Amy Speropoulos & Rhonda Crenshaw: The Salvation Army of Memphis and the Midsouth

January 17 @ 11:45 am - 1:00 pm

Amy Speropoulos & Rhonda Crenshaw
Development and Communications Manager & Development Director
The Salvation Army of Memphis and the Midsouth
Amy is an award-winning Journalist who graduated from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Her career started before graduation as the morning anchor for WCFT. From there she worked her way through Alabama, making stops in Montgomery where she was a political reporter and evening anchor for the ABC Affiliate. In 1999 she was hired at WREG in Memphis. What was supposed to be a stop on the map in her career turned out to be home. Amy met her husband at the “Station on the river,” and went on to have a successful career with all 4 TV stations in Memphis including WREG, WMC-TV, ABC 24, and WHBQ, Fox 13, which is rare in one television market. After 30 years in Television News, she “retired” and is now working as The Development and Communications Manager for the Salvation Army of Memphis and the Midsouth.
She is most proud of her relationship with Jesus, her family, and her time dedicated to helping others battling addiction. She recently celebrated 11 years of sobriety and is quick to give God the Glory for everything in her life
including her recovery. Amy and her husband live in Collierville where they are raising their 3 girls and
rescue dogs. They have been at Hope Church for 18 years and are proud to call Hope their “home.”
